Felicitation to Malavat Purna |
Department of Telugu, School of Humanities, University of Hyderabad has conducted a book
releasing function of 'Everest in Mind 'in the school of humanities on 7 th October 2022.
This is the book which depicts the life and adventures of Malavat Purna who is the youngest mountaineer.
At the age of 13 she could reach the Mount Everest. The author P. Sudheer Reddy has given all the
details and struggles how she has faced in reaching the Mountain. Prof R.S.Sarraju the Pro-Vice
chancellor, University of Hyderabad has released the book and congratulated the author and
Malavat Purna. Dean, school of Humanities Prof.Raviranjan has extended wishes to the author and
the mountaineer. Poorna coach Parameswara Singh participated and given the details how Poorna
could make her dream success., The program was presided over by Prof Darla Venkateswara Rao,
Head, Department of Telugu, and he has introduced the Telugu version. Prof Pillalamarri Ramulu has
introduced the English version. Both the speakers have narrated the adventures, hurdles and her
inspirative story which were dealt in the book.
Prof Aruna Kumari, Pof D.Vijaya Laxmi, Dr Bhukya Tirupati, Dr.Bhujanga Reddy and Dr.Vijaya Kumari
have taken part. All the research scholars and the students made the program success.
