About M.Sc. Environmental Science
- The program will be two-year full-time MSc. program which any graduate can take up. The program will be divided into six trimesters including theory subjects, hands-on training, and internship/research project. The foundation courses include orientation to statistics, social research methods, development, and remote sensing and geo-informatics (RS-GIS). The core courses include theory topics such as ecosystems, evolutionary biology, biodiversity, climate change, natural resource management, environmental management, environmental biotechnology, socioecology, environmental acts, conservation biology, advanced statistics, industrial development & sustainability, environmental management planning, environmental impact assessment, life cycle analysis, and advanced RS-GIS. The program also offers soft-skill development courses such as science communication, project management, and innovations for entrepreneurship. Students can choose two specializations, wildlife & conservation and SDGs & environmental management planning, in the fifth trimester as per their inclination. The last two trimesters are meant for students to engage in research project or internship. The emphasize of the program is on experiential learning offered through various field and lab work activities as a part of the program.
