Eligibility Criteria

The candidates applying for 2 year Management Program through IBSAT should satisfy following eligibility criteria.

  • Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks (as calculated by respective University) with medium of instruction as English.
  • All applicants should have completed a minimum of 15 years of education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis).
  • Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by 31st May 2017 .

Applicants in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements (including practical examinations / viva / assignments) before May 31, 2017. The admission will remain provisional until they produce marks sheets and degree certificates establishing their eligibility. The last date for submission of proof of graduation is ist November 2017.

Eligibility criteria will be checked from August, 2017 onwards. Hence, the onus of ensuring that they satisfy the eligibility criteria rests solely with the candidates.

The cost of IBSAT application fee is Rs 1800/-

How to Apply

The candidates can either go for the test or use their CAT / GMAT / NMAT score. They will need to fill up the IBSAT Exam Form either way.

What is IBSAT

IBSAT is a Computer Based Test (CBT) and consists of multiple choice questions. IBSAT is of 2 hours duration and is aimed at testing the applicant’s ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension

CAT / GMAT / NMAT score

The Candidates with GMAT, NMAT or CAT scores are exempted from appearing for IBSAT.

The candidates can avail the application form of IBSAT through online as well as offline mode. The offline application forms are available in the marketing offices of all IBS. The candidates can apply online through the official website of ICFAI Business schools.

Exam Pattern

The medium of the question paper will be English only.

The question paper of IBSAT 2017 will consist of 120 objective type questions with 5 choices for every question. The total duration of 2 hours will be provided to answer the questions.

Each right answer will attrack 1 mark. There is no negative marking for wrong answer.

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

The admit card will be avilable online for download. The candidate can download and print it. The hard copy of BITSAT admit card will also be sent through post. The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority.

The candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. It is also very important to document for the further admission processes.

IBSAT Cutoff

The IBSAT Cutoff is the minimum required score for qualifying the exam and getting shortlisted in the final merit list of the institute. Every year, the cutoff is released by the exam authorities to shortlist candidates for the next stage or round of the admission process.

After considering various factors, namely level of difficulty in IBSAT test, number of test takers, and number of seats, IBS Hyderabad and its other participating institutes will release IBSAT cutoff lists for the candidates.

The Cutoff for IBSAT will be released after the announcement of the result.

The BITSAT result will be declared by the authority on 6th January 2017. It will be announced on the official website. The candidates can check their result along with answer sheet by login using their application number and Password.

Selection Process

The successful candidates who have qualified the IBSAT / GMAT / NMAT by GMACTM / CAT score are called for the selection process at IBS Hyderabad in February 2017. The selection process comprises of Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
