University of Kerala offers MPhil Admission 2015

University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram invites applications for Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) program for the year 2015.

Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) program is conducted by University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram.

Applications are invited by University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram for admission to Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) program offered in various subjects at University Teaching and Research Departments and University College, Thiruvananthapuram for the academic year 2015

M.Phil Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:
=> Candidates seeking admissions to the course should have passed the qualifying examination at the time of submitting applications

=> The minimum qualification for admission to the course is a second class master’s degree in the concerned subject, with not less than 55% marks, subject to the usual rules of relaxation for SC/ST students (Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination after 10+2+3 pattern of study)

=> Read the notification carefully; be careful while entering the details. Details submitted once cannot be edited; all relevant documents proving qualification, caste details, experiences etc. should be send along with the application

Candidates are required to submit following Documents:
=> Scanned copy of the photograph of the applicant (not more than the size of 40 KB)

=> Scanned copy of the signature of the applicant (not more than the size of 40 KB); only .jpg(small letter .jpg ) images are allowed SBT Challan should be downloaded from the website and correct amount should be remitted at bank before starting online registration Details in the challan should be given while submitting the application

General Cadidates Rs.20/-; SC/ST Candidates - Rs.20/-
Fee for Registration (Gen Candidates - Rs.500/-; SC /ST Candidates - Rs.250/-)
Fee for each Additional Subject applied (General Candidates - Rs.50/-; SC/ST Candidates - Rs.25/-)

The University of Travancore which eventually became the University of Kerala was established in 1937 by a promulgation of the Maharaja of Travancore, Sri Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma who was also the first Chancellor of the University. Sir C. P Ramaswamy Ayyar, the then Diwan of the State, was the first Vice-Chancellor. It was the sixteenth University to be set up in India and ten Colleges within the State of Travancore which were affiliated to the Madras University became the affiliated colleges of the University of Travancore.
