Mysore University, Mysore invites applications for Ph.D programme for the year 2015.

Ph.D programme is conducted by Mysore University, Mysore.

Ph.D programme Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

=> Candidates who have secured atleast 55% of aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/Cat-1 /Physicaly Challenged candidates) or equivalent grade under grading system, in their Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from the recognised Universities/Institutions.

=> The Following candidates are exempted from the entrance exam and they can apply for Provisional Registration by consulting a guide in the subject of their interest after verifing their eligibility.

=> Candidates who have qualified for UGC/CSIR (JRF) Fellowships

=> Qualified for Lecturership through UGC/CSIR NET Examination/ K-SET/ GATE.

=> Government/Aided College Teachers under FIP.

=> Candidates who have completed M.Phil course, provided their M.Phil course was through an Entrance Examination.

=> Foreign Nationals with Indian/Foreign Degrees

Application Procedure for Ph.D programme:

Candidates are advised to refer to official notifications /documents for detailed application procedure. published details for informational purpose.

=> Candidates can apply online.

Candidates applying for the Various Ph.D. courses at University of Mysore (UoM) are required to apply only through the UoM website: No other Means/Mode of application will be accepted.

Before proceeding to filling up the Online Application, the candidates should have scanned image of their (a) Photograph (b) Signature & (c) Category Certificate (if applicable) in CD/DVD/Pen drive as per their convenience. These documents will be required for uploading and submission of your Online Application

A valid E-mail and Mobile Number is mandatory for the registration of your Online Application. This E-Mail and Mobile number should be kept active till the declaration of results. UoM will send important information with regard to your application and examination on this registered E-Mail/Mobile

Please note that after the final submission all the particulars mentioned in the online application including Name of the Candidate, Subject(s) Applied, Category, Date of Birth, Address, Email ID etc. will be considered as Final and NO further modifications will be allowed/entertained.

After receiving your Candidate ID and Password on mail you will not be able to edit certain fields of the Online Application. Candidates are hence requested to fill in the online application form with the utmost care as no correspondence regarding change of details will be entertained

Step 1: Candidates are first required to go to the UoM website and click on the link “Online Application for Ph.D. Eligibility Examination, March 2015”

Step 2: You will be directed to the Main Page of Ph.D. Eligibility Examination March 2015. Make a note of the Important Dates and Eligibility Criteria.

Step 3: If you are a first time user, you will have to first register by clicking on the link provided for registration.

Step 4: If you have received your Candidate ID and Password, login from the Main Page using your Candidate ID and Password.

Step 5: After filling in all your mandatory details, click on “Preview Application” to view your filled application and verify the details entered by you

Step 6: On the Main Page of “Ph.D. Eligibility Examination March 2015”, login using the Candidate ID and Password which you received on your E-Mail / Mobile, Click on “Download Challan” to download and print your uniquely generated Bank Challan (pdf file). This bank challan will be in
triplicate copies marked as “Bank Copy”, “University Copy” and “Candidate Copy”.

Step 7: Pay the relevant fees in Cash at any Branch of SBM. The Bank will retain the “Bank Copy” and will give you back the acknowledged copies of “University Copy” and “Candidate Copy”. Please safe keep the “University Copy” required as Mandatory Document along with your admit
card for appearing for the online examination. The Bank will also mention the Branch Name, Branch Code and the Journal Number on the “University Copy” and “Candidate Copy”. Please make a note of the Journal Number, Date of Deposit, Branch Name and the Bank Branch Code as you will require to upload this information in your Online Application for Final Submission.

Step 8: On the Main Page of “Ph.D. Eligibility Examination March 2015”, login using the Candidate ID and Password which you received on your E-Mail/ Mobile and click on “Edit” button.

Step 9: Submit your application and receive the “Application Successfully Submitted” message. You can now only “View” and/or “Print” your submitted Online Application.

Step 10: On the Main Page of “Ph.D. Eligibility Examination March 2015“, login using the Candidate ID and Password which you received on your E-Mail/Mobile and take a printout of your submitted application. Keep a copy of the submitted application for your reference and safe keep. You will need to carry this copy during counseling.

Fee Details:

Application fee: General merit candidates: Rs. 2000
SC/ST/Cat-1 cadidates: Rs.750

  • Last Date for Online Registration: March 7th, 2015
