About

Agricultural engineering is a discipline that applies engineering technology & science to agricultural production and processing.

Agricultural engineering includes many science disciplines and technology for the efficient production and processing of food, feed, fiber and fuels. It involves disciplines like mechanical engineering , soil science, environmental sciences, plant biology and animal science for better agriculture.

Agricultural engineers work in the following areas: design of agricultural machinery, internal combustion engines of agricultural machinery, agricultural resource management; water management for crop irrigation and livestock production; surveying and land profiling, soil management and conservation; seeding,livestock production, waste management, food engineering , bioresource engineering and Design of experiments related to crop and animal production. Agricultural engineers work in production, sales, management, research and development, and field of applied science.
