Eligibility Criteria
a) For admission as All India Seat candidate and/or as NRI Sponsored candidate: A candidate should have secured a rank in Paper – 1 of JEE (Main) AND
A candidate should have passed the Qualifying Examination with minimum 45% marks (40% in case of SC / ST) in aggregate in theory and practical of Physics & Maths (with Chemistry or Biology or Computer or Vocational Subject) from single board. B. Tech. Admission Rules A. Y. 2022-23 6/20
b) For admission as NRI Candidate:
i. Candidate must have passed the qualifying examination abroad with minimum 45% marks (40% in case of SC / ST) in aggregate in theory and practical of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics; and also must have passed: SAT Subject Tests (SAT II) of level-II Physics, Mathematics, & Chemistry
OR
AP tests at A-levels in Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry
OR
Equivalent standard examination of United Kingdom (UK) education system in Physics,
Mathematics, & Chemistry
OR
JEE (Main)
ii. In case, Letter Grade / Performance Index or Graded Point Average is awarded instead of percentage marks in qualifying examination, the equivalence certificate is required from
the school authority.
iii. Such candidate will have to produce equivalence certificate of qualifying examination from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
For NRI Candidates:
Candidates must have:
- Passed the qualifying exam abroad with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, both in theory and practical.
- Additionally, candidates must have passed one of the following:
- SAT Subject Tests (SAT II) of level-II in Physics, Mathematics, & Chemistry, or
- AP tests at A-levels in Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry, or
- Equivalent standard exam of the United Kingdom (UK) education system in Physics, Mathematics, & Chemistry, or
- JEE (Main) 2024
- If Letter Grade / Performance Index or Graded Point Average is awarded instead of percentage marks, an equivalence certificate from the school authority is required.
- Candidates must produce an equivalence certificate of the qualifying exam from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
Reservation:
- Seats shall be reserved for All India Seats under the following categories:
- Scheduled Caste (SC): 15%
- Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5%
- Physically Challenged (PC): 3% (Minimum Disability of 40%)
- Girls Variable Supernumerary Seats (GVSS): 10%
- Candidates seeking admission on a reserved seat must produce a Certificate of Caste from the competent authority in either English or Hindi.
Fee Structure
a) A candidate, who gets admission through ACPC, will be required to pay the fees as prescribed herein.
b) A candidate has to pay the total fee as prescribed herein, at the time of offer of admission through the online mode as per the direction. No extension of time shall be granted for paying the fees. Subsequently, fees are charged semester-wise, at the start of every semester. Failure to pay the fees shall be considered as non-acceptance of offer of the admission to B.Tech. Program.

Application Fee
For the purpose of application, a candidate is required to make an online payment as follows:
– Rs.700/- for candidates passed 12th Standard from a school located in the state of Gujarat.
– Rs.1200/- for candidates passed 12th Standard from a school located outside the state of Gujarat.
– Rs.1200/- for candidates applying in NRI seat
Application For Admission
For the purpose of admission, a candidate shall apply on-line, for the application of his candidature, on the University website, within the time limit specified by the University. (Please visit the University website – https://www.pdpu.ac.in/ for the online application procedure.)
a) The University shall announce, by advertisement in some leading national newspapers / on web-site and by such other means, as it may consider necessary, the date of application, last date for submission of application form, programs offered and such other information as may be necessary in this regard.
b) For the purpose of application, a candidate is required to make an online payment as follows:
– Rs.700/- for candidates passed 12th Standard from a school located in the state of Gujarat.
– Rs.1200/- for candidates passed 12th Standard from a school located outside the state of Gujarat.
– Rs.1200/- for candidates applying in NRI seat
c) A candidate shall be required to upload a scan copy of the requisite certificates and testimonials as specified in the application form.
Admission Procedure
The admission procedure shall be in the following manner:
a) The University will prepare the merit list of the eligible candidates who have applied for admission under these rules.
b) The candidates will have to check their inter-se merit number through the Login ID & password provided at the time of application on the University website.
c) The provisional admission shall be offered through online mode as per the schedule.
d) Offer of admission shall be made on the basis of merit, category of the candidate and
availability of the seats.
e) Decision options regarding offer of admission:
i) Accept & Freeze: The candidate can confirm his/her admission for a branch offered to him upon payment of the fees as prescribed, subsequent to which such candidate will not be eligible for offer of admission in any other branch.
ii) Accept with Upgrade: The candidate can accept the branch offered to him upon payment of the fees as prescribed and also can then be eligible for admission in a branch of higher preference if any mentioned by him/her in the application, during subsequent admission round/s if any.
iii) Reject with Upgrade: The candidate can reject the branch offered to him and also then would be eligible for admission in a branch of higher preference if any mentioned by him/her in the application, during subsequent admission round/s if any.
iv) Reject: The candidate can reject the branch offered to him without option of Upgrade, subsequent to which such candidate will not be eligible for offer of admission in any other branch in the respective category.
v) No Action: This means that the candidate ignores the offer of admission in the respective category. Thereafter he/she would be eligible for admission in a branch of higher preference if any mentioned by him/her in the application, during subsequent
admission round/s if any.
f) The provisional admission will be confirmed only after verification of the original documents, personal and academic credentials of the candidates viz. identity, age, academic qualifications and reservation category as per the schedule to be announced on the website.
g) It shall not be obligatory to give admission to a candidate if s/he fails to secure the admission online as prescribed.
h) No changes in branch-preference shall be possible after the last date of submission of online application. The University reserves rights to hold admission process also through calling the candidates in merit on the University Campus.
