IIT Tirupati MPP Admission 2024 – Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Tirupati is inviting applications for admission to the Master of Public Policy (MPP) Program for the academic session 2024. IIT Tirupati MPP Admission 2024
The MPP Program at IIT Tirupati has been initiated to address the increasing need for policy professionals in India and to broaden the intellectual landscape at IIT Tirupati. The program aims to produce scholars and professionals capable of contributing to the sustainable development of the nation.
Important Dates
- Opening date for online application : Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 10 AM
- Closing date for online application : Friday, April 19, 2024 upto 5 PM
- Written Test/ Interview : 01-May-2024 to 24-May-2024
- Announcement of Results : Within one week from the completion of Interview
- Reporting to campus : Friday, July 26, 2024
- Commencement of classes : Thursday, August 1, 2024
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates who have already obtained or are expected to obtain a Bachelor’s degree (after 10+2) or its equivalent in any subject from a recognized university or institute are eligible to apply for admission to the MPP program offered by the Institute.
- For General/OBC/EWS category candidates, a minimum of 55% marks (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, across all years) in the qualifying degree is required. For SC/ST and PwD category candidates, a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, across all years) in the qualifying degree is necessary.

- After filling the form, please take a printout and keep it for records.
- Please read the instructions given in the admission brochure carefully before filling up the application form.

- For GN/EWS/OBC-NCL Male candidates :- Rs.400/-
- For GN/EWS/OBC-NCL Female candidates :- Rs.200/-
- For SC/ST and PwD candidates :- Rs.200/-

Selection Process
- Admission to the MPP program will be conducted through two tracks:
- Track 1: Applicants who have appeared for the GATE exam and possess valid GATE scores.
- Track 2: Applicants who have not taken the GATE exam.
- Applicants will be considered for only one track at a time during an admission year. The two tracks will be handled separately for the creation of the final merit list.
Track 1: This track is for eligible applicants who have taken the GATE exam and possess valid GATE exam scores.
- Applicants must possess a valid GATE score to be considered for the subsequent round of selection.
- Only GATE applicants meeting or exceeding the cutoff set by the Institute will be invited for personal interviews.
- A final merit list will be compiled based on the GATE score and performance in the interview. Criteria for admission as full-time students, including applicable cutoffs, will be determined by the Institute. Reserved category applicants will receive relaxation as per the Government of India regulations. The Institute reserves the right to modify the admission criteria as needed.
Track 2: This track is for eligible applicants who have not taken the GATE exam.
- Applicants without a valid GATE score will be required to take a written test.
- Only those applicants who meet or exceed the cutoff for the written test marks will proceed to the final interview stage.
- A final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the written test and interview. Criteria for admission as full-time students, along with applicable cutoffs, will be determined by the Institute. Reserved category applicants will receive relaxation as per the Government of India regulations.
