How to Apply

Steps to fill Online Application

Step 1: Registration Form for Obtaining User ID and Password

Step 2: User ID and Password will be sent through SMS and Email ID

Step 3: Fill the Application Form

Step 4: Upload your Photograph and Signature

Step 5: Submission of Fees

Step 6: Take a Print out of Filled Application Form with Transaction ID Printed on it.

Exam Pattern

The paper will be divided in two sections namely Section A and Section B.

The Section A will be General Aptitude Test and will be common to all the disciplines of PGAT having 40 questions. The question will be based General Awareness, Current Affairs, General Science, reasoning, quantitative ability, General Hindi and General English.

The Section B will be Subject Proficiency Test and will be based on the subjects in which candidate wish to take admission. There will be 35 questions for each subject. The syllabus for each subject is given below and the questions will be asked from this.

The candidate will get 03 marks in the common paper and 06 marks in the paper of the subject for each correct answer. There will be minus marking for wrong answers and the candidate will be given -1 mark in the common paper and -2 marks in the paper of the subject for each wrong answer.


Admit Card / Hall Ticket

The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority.

The candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. It is also very important to document for the further admission processes.


The candidates are required to enter their respective AU PGAT 2020 Roll Number for checking their result and downloading of their scorecard. The result will furnish the rank secured by the candidates. Based on the result of AU PGAT and the cutoff screening, eligible candidates would be selected for the next round of selection process. The selected candidates would be enlisted in a merit list and will be called for counselling cum allotment on the basis of appearance in the list.
