JEE Main scores are used for admission to National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs). Admissions are conducted through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counseling process. During counseling, candidates can select their preferred colleges and courses based on their JEE Main rank. Seats are allocated according to rank, category, home-state quota (in the case of NITs), and seat availability. Candidates must also meet the 75% marks or top 20 percentile requirement in Class 12 for admission to these institutes.
