SIU follows a specific reservation policy for its programs: Scheduled Castes (SC) 15%, Scheduled Tribes (ST) 7.5%, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) 3%. Additionally, 25% of seats are reserved for Nagpur Domiciled candidates specifically for the Nagpur off-campus constituents. Some institutes, like SIMS Pune, have a unique policy where up to 90% of seats are reserved for children/wards of Defence Personnel. Over and above these, there is a supernumerary quota for Kashmiri Migrants (2 seats per program) and International Candidates (15% to 20%).
