Starting from the 2025-26 cycle, NMIMS introduced a 'Competency Assessment' (replacing the traditional WAT/WATSON Glaser test) which carries a massive 50% weightage in the final selection. It is a computer-based test lasting 60–90 minutes that evaluates analytical skills, decision-making, and managerial potential through business scenarios. Because this component holds more weight than the NMAT score itself (which is often only 20-25% of the final weight), performance here is critical for securing a seat.
