NEET UG is conducted as a pen-and-paper (offline) examination. The question paper contains 200 multiple-choice questions, out of which candidates must attempt 180 questions. The paper is divided into three main subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Biology is further divided into Botany and Zoology. Each subject contains two sections: Section A with 35 questions and Section B with 15 questions, of which candidates must attempt 10. Each correct answer carries 4 marks, while 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. The total marks for the exam are 720. The exam duration is 3 hours and 20 minutes.
