In XAT, each correct answer is awarded +1 mark. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks are deducted as negative marking. Additionally, there is a penalty of 0.10 marks for every unanswered question beyond eight unattempted questions in Part 1. There is no negative marking for the General Knowledge section.
