JEE Main and JEE Advanced are two separate exams conducted for engineering admissions in India. JEE Main is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and serves as the qualifying exam for admission to NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded institutions. It also acts as the eligibility test for JEE Advanced. Only the top approximately 2.5 lakh candidates from JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced, which is conducted by one of the IITs on a rotational basis. JEE Advanced is the gateway for admission into the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The difficulty level of JEE Advanced is generally higher and focuses more on conceptual and analytical problem-solving skills.
