Primary answer
If a candidate does not report to the allotted college within the specified time after seat allotment, the seat may be cancelled and offered to another candidate in the next round of counselling. In many cases, the candidate may also lose the security deposit paid during counselling registration. Additionally, depending on the counselling rules, the candidate may be restricted from participating in further rounds of counselling for that academic year.
