The qualifying marks for JEE Main vary every year depending on the difficulty level of the exam and the performance of candidates. The National Testing Agency releases the cut-off percentile required to qualify for JEE Advanced. For example, in recent years, the qualifying percentile for the General category has been around 90 percentile, while it is lower for reserved categories such as OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD. Candidates who meet or exceed the cut-off percentile are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced and also participate in counseling for NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs.
