While not mandatory for all PSUs, many top Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) such as NTPC, ONGC, BHEL, GAIL, and IOCL require a valid GATE score for shortlisting candidates for technical positions. Some PSUs may have their own recruitment exams, but GATE scores are widely recognized and preferred for graduate-level recruitment.
