A student can attempt the JEE Main exam for three consecutive years starting from the year they pass their Class 12 examination. Since the exam is usually conducted twice a year (January and April sessions), candidates may get up to six total attempts across those three years. Students can choose to appear in one or both sessions in a year, and the best score among the attempts is considered for ranking.
