How many times can a candidate take the GMAT?

A candidate can take the GMAT a maximum of 5 times in a rolling 12-month period and no more than 8 times in a lifetime. There must be a minimum gap of 16 days between two attempts. These limits apply across both test center and online GMAT attempts.
