Yes, non-engineering students can successfully crack CAT. While engineering graduates form a large percentage of CAT test-takers, the exam does not inherently favor any academic background. In fact, many IIMs provide additional weightage for academic diversity to encourage students from commerce, arts, science, and other non-engineering backgrounds. Strong fundamentals, practice, and strategy are more important than academic stream.
