Primary answer
Yes, candidates who have completed their Class 12 or equivalent examination through recognized open schooling boards such as the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) are eligible to appear for JEE Main, provided their qualification is recognized as equivalent to the standard higher secondary education. They must also have studied the required subjects such as Physics and Mathematics for engineering programs. During admission, candidates may be required to provide proof of equivalence or relevant documentation to confirm the validity of their qualification.
