Admission Notices

IMAGO is the term for the final transformation of an insect into its mature form.

The Butterfly is the supreme example of an IMAGO and is incorporated in the logo.

The Butterfly is also an ancient symbol of the soul, of rebirth, and of immortality.

The IMAGO SCHOOL OF ACTING resonates with all these meanings and possibilities.

Location : The IMAGO SCHOOL OF ACTING is housed in Brahma Film Studio in the heart of Film City, Noida. It is a noise-free, traffic and pollution-free environment where students can make a lot of noise without disturbing anyone or being disturbed.

Trained and untrained actors from India and abroad are welcome to apply. There is no age limit and academic qualifications are deemed to be unnecessary. The selection of applicants to the courses is on the basis of interview and practical audition supervised by competent authorities. Students must agree to abide by a strict code of dress, behaviour and self-discipline. Periodic self-assessment reports are required from the students.

Course Content : The mainstream programme consists of carefully designed courses of study and activity relevant to the needs of the modern actor. The range of courses covers aspects of movement, mime, dance, yoga, voice and speech, and acting. The acting course includes self-study and field observation projects, text-based studies, scene-work, and the uses of improvisation. A children's play is devised from the students' own recollections of childhood and is performed in schools in Noida. A street-play is created and performed in Noida.
