The university of Calcutta invites applications for admissions to Ph.D. Program in Russian for the academic year 2016- 17.

Ph.D. Program in Russian is conducted by the University of Calcutta.

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:
=> Candidates who have a Master’s degree in Russian or any other qualification considered equivalent therto; the eligible candidates will take Research Eligibility Test (RET)

Note: Candidates who have passed M.Phil/NET in Russian or equivalent exam are exempted from the written exam and will need to appear at the viva-voce only

Application Procedure:

Application Forms are Available at C.U. Sales counter on all working days. Submit filled applications in between 02.00 pm to 06.00 pm of the last date at the office of the department i.e. at Office of Russian Department of Languages, Ashutosh 2nd Building (IInd Floor), 87/1 College Street, Kolkata-700073

Fee Details:

Candidates have to take demand draft for an amount of Rs.100/-

Important Dates:

Ph.D. Program in Russian Important dates section aims to list all important dates such as date of availability of form, last submission date, result date, counseling date, etc.

  • Last Date of Submission of Application Form: 26th February 2016
  • Date of Examination PhD Program in Russian 2016: 29th February 2016 (02.30 pm to 04.30 pm)
  • Candidates (for viva-voce) will be displayed on the dept. notice Board on: 01st March 2016
  • The viva-voce will be held on: 03rd March 2016 (03 PM onwards) at Dept
