University of Calcutta PGDM Admission

Important Dates :

Last date of submission of application: 18th January
Date of admission test: 20th January
Date of admission: 22nd January
Commencement of the class: 28th January


: 60 (50% for sponsored and 50% for non-sponsored candidates)


Pass in three years B.Sc examination with Physics and Chemistry as two compulsory papers (along with other possible combination, such as, Mathematics/Statistics/Computer, etc) of the University of Calcutta or any other University, recognized by UGC

Admission Test:

A common admission test for PGDJTM for all categories of candidates will be conducted by this Dept
The admission test will comprise one paper of 100 marks with four subgroups, (General knowledge and English 25 marks; Mathematical Aptitude 25 marks; Physics 25 marks; and Chemistry 25 marks)

Application Form:

All candidates have to submit application in prescribed form available from office of the Dept or website, The form is available on website.

Application fee Rs 500/- (for SC/ST/PH candidates Rs 250/-)

The course fee in full as applicable for the first semester of this PGDJTM course, to be paid by a demand draft in favour of Dept of Jute and Fibre Technology, IJT, Calcutta University, A/c –PGDJTM-2 (Revenue) payable at Kolkata

Documents to be required at the time of admission; B.Sc pass certificate/provisional certificate and/or mark sheet; Madhyamik certificate as proof of age; Medical certificate for medical fitness; Relevant certificate for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidate; and transfer certificate/ no objection certificate/proof of admission cancellation, if already admitted to other college; if sponsored, original letter of sponsorship in prescribed format and no objection from present employer, if the candidate is presently employed anywhere
