      About Saveetha College of Physiotherapy

      The Saveetha Dental College and Hospitals was instituted in November 1993 with a goal to render quality dental education and treatment. Many years of toil, commitment and dedication have seen the college graduate from a concept to reality. Today, on the brink of its tenth year, it is a mammoth educational institution of no small measure. A force to reckon with, in the field of dental education, Saveetha Dental College and Hospital has produced several dental surgeons, some of whom have made their own mark, nationally and internationally. The college is affiliated to Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and recognised by the Dental Council of India. Under the dynamic and visionary leadership of the Trust President, the college has today grown into a post graduate institution of formidable reputation as well along with paramedical institutions in physiotherapy, occupational therapy and nursing. An undergraduate course (BPT) in physiotherapy in our university aims to impart in-depth knowledge and skill to the students to become competent in the physical diagnosis, clinical reasoning techniques and to develop proper attitude required for the practice of physiotherapy and carryout treatment based on the evidences available. A Post Graduate programme (MPT) in our institution aims at preparing a physiotherapist for leadership in physiotherapy and health fields who can function as specialist, practitioners, consultants, educators, administrators and researchers in a wide variety of professional settings in meeting the demands and changing needs of the society. PhD programme in physiotherapy at our University emphasizes research because it naturally complements our primary teaching function.We believe research is more than an isolated intellectual exercise. It’s about finding practical solutions to real-clinical problems, empowering the professionals with new technology, and collaborating across disciplines on new areas of knowledge. VISION Our Vision is Dedicated to impart quality education in the field of physiotherapy,providing evidence based physiotherapy care to the community encouraging seeds of research in every professional aspirant in the institution thereby to fulfill the vision of the University.
