Daund tahasil is one of the fastest developing tahasil in Maharashtra in general and in district Pune in particular. Late MLA. Subhash Baburao Kool alias Subhashanna represented the tahsil in Maharashtra legislature assembly from 1990 to 2001. He was widely known as a true leader of action and principles. He dedicated his life for the social cause. In order to give impetus to the development of society he started a school in his own village in 1233.
