Benefits : The duration of this scholarship is up to two years for students undertaking a Master by research degree and up to three years, with a possible six month extension, for students undertaking a Doctorate by research degree.

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

have completed tertiary studies that are at least equivalent to a 4-year honors degree at an Australian university with a minimum result of upper second class honors;
have applied for or be enrolled in a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne in the area of human rights; and
be committed to the peaceful advancement of respect for human rights that extends beyond academic studies (such as voluntary work and/or work experience);
not have completed a course deemed to be at the same level or higher than the course for which you have applied for or enrolled in; and
not have previously received a Human Rights Scholarshi
In addition, applicants who have commenced their graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne must have at least 12 months full-time or equivalent candidature remaining.

International Research Scholarships-2017 At University of Melbourne, Australia

Scholarship

Number of scholarships: 300
The duration is two years for students undertaking a Master by research degree and three years, with a possible six month extension, for students undertaking a Doctorate by research degree.
A fortnightly living allowance, a relocation allowance for students moving to Melbourne from interstate or from outside Australia, and limited paid sick, maternity and parenting leave equivalent to the Australian Postgraduate Awards benefits
Full fee remission (international students only).
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) Single Membership (international students only).

Eligibility

Candidates must:

have applied for and meet the entry requirements for a Master or Doctorate by research degree at the University of Melbourne, or be currently enrolled in a research degree at the University of Melbourne and have at least 12 months (full-time equivalent) of candidature remaining, and
have not already completed a research qualification at the same or higher level as the course for which a scholarship is sought.

Eligibility

To be eligible candidate must:

Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and not a permanent resident of Australia.
Have applied for an eligible graduate coursework degree.
Be commencing study at the University of Melbourne for the first time.
Not be in receipt of any other tuition fee remission scholarship or sponsorship which, in combination with the IPCA, exceeds 100% of tuition fees.
Not have received any other scholarship provided by the Australian Government in the last 2 years.
Receive an unconditional offer for an eligible graduate coursework degree offered by the university.

How to Apply

Candidates do not need to submit an application for this scholarship. Students, who have received an unconditional offer for an eligible graduate coursework degree, will be automatically considered for an International Postgraduate Coursework Award.
