School of Engineering & Applied Science Excellence scholarship scheme

The School of Engineering & Applied Science is pleased to announce 25 scholarships of £3000 each in value for self-financing international students joining our undergraduate MEng, BEng and BSc programmes in September 2014. The scholarships are open to prospective full-time undergraduate students in any subject area within the School of Engineering & Applied Science for each taught year of a course (subject to satisfactory progress).

About Scholarship

Who is eligible for this scholarship?

  • You must have applied to us through UCAS and be holding a conditional or unconditional offer of a place of study with the School of Engineering & Applied Science.
  • You must be able to demonstrate an exceptional academic profile (equivalent to 3 Grade AS at UK ‘A’ Level as assessed by NARIC and the School of Engineering & Applied science admissions team.)
  • You must be able to demonstrate an outstanding personal profile as evidence in your UCAS personal statement.
  • You must achieve a 60% pass mark year on year to qualify to continue to receive this scholarship beyond the first year.
  • The scholarship awards exclude work placement, foundation and repeat years.

How is the scholarship paid?

* Scholarships are paid by a reduction in tuition fee.

Other information:

* Recipients of this scholarship cannot be in receipt of any other scholarship
* Financial need will not be taken into consideration.

Applicants must be holding an offer to study for an MSc postgraduate programme in the School of Engineering and Applied Science and hold a UK Bachelors First Class with Honours (or equivalent)
