The Victoria University of Wellington has invited applications for its doctoral scholarship 2015. The doctoral Scholarships are intended to encourage and support doctoral study (PhD) at Victoria University of Wellington.
About Scholarship
The Scholarships are open to graduates of any university within or outside of New Zealand who intend to enroll for a Doctorate (PhD) at Victoria University or who have commenced their doctoral study at the University. The Scholarships are offered to the top ranked candidates in any Doctoral admission and scholarship application round throughout the year. To be considered for a Victoria Doctoral Scholarship the applicant must have a strong academic record and excellent academic references.
Eligibility
Below are the eligibility criteria
* Applicants with Victoria University ‘offers of study’ of who are current Victoria University doctoral students can apply.
* Applicants whose degree has been conferred at any university other than a New Zealand university advised to have their degree verified and assessed with a course-by-course evaluation by Educational Credential Evaluators; http://www.ece.org/
* Applicants should have completed a Bachelor’s or Masters degree with academic distinction equivalent to a First Class Honours degree at a New Zealand University.

Value of the award:
The scholarship holders will get $23,500 stipend annually alongwith the tuition fees.
Number of awards offered: 35 each round
