The University of Sussex is offering Economic and Social Development Scholarship 2014 for non-UK/EU international students wishing to undergo a one year master’s degree programme at the university.

Scholarship Description:

University of Sussex Economic and Social Development Scholarship 2014:
The University of Sussex, UK invites applications for Economic and Social Development Scholarship 2014 from non-UK/EU international students wishing to undergo a one year master’s degree programme at the university. The scholarship is intended for students who demonstrate a will to contribute to the economic or social development of their respective countries upon returning on completion of their studies. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit and not financial need. The different subjects areas for which the University of Sussex Economic and Social Development Scholarship 2014 is offered are listed below:

* Anthropology
* Economics
* Education
* Gender Studies
* Human Rights
* Migration Studies
* International Relations
* Development Studies / International Development (including the Institute of Development Studies)

Eligibility :

The Sussex University Economic and Social Development Scholarship 2014 eligibility criteria are:
* Candidate must be a national of India, Pakistan or Sri Lanka and also a resident of the same.
* Candidate must not be studying in the UK currently (including as undergraduates at Sussex).
* Candidate must not have studied at degree level in the UK previously.
* Candidate must be classified to pay fees at the overseas (non-EU) rate.
* Candidate must have sufficient funds to meet his / her tuition fees and living expenses, after taking account of the possible award of this Scholarship.

Value of the award:

£5,000 fee waiver
