A STAR Youth Scholarship 2020 – Application for AY2020 A STAR Youth Scholarship is open till 28th July 2019 (07.30 pm India Time)
The A STAR Youth Scholarship is tenable for 4 years leading to the award of the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced’ (GCE ‘A’) Level (or equivalent) certificate
The Scholarship is for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary Three to Pre-University Two and is renewed annually, subject to the satisfactory performance of the scholar.
Important Dates
- Application Period: 24th June 2019 to 28th July 2019
- Selection Test: September 2019
- Selection Interview: October 2019
- Award of Scholarship: End November 2019
- Arrival of Scholar in Singapore: Early December 2019
Eligibility
- Interested candidates who meet the following criteria are invited to apply for the scholarship:
Nationals of India
- Born between 2003 and 2005
- Completed Standard 8 in the Year 2019
- Possess outstanding academic track record (at least an average of 80%/minimum ‘A’ with English as a first language in the Standards 7 and 8 school final examinations)
- Possess a high level of oral and written competency in English
How to Apply
- Applicants are to apply online using the online application system. Each applicant should submit only ONE application only. If you encounter difficulties during your online application, you may contact Customer Service Centre at +65 6872 2220.

Step 1
- Submit your application via our online application system.
Step 2
- All applicants are to send certified/endorsed copies of the following items directly to the Singapore Ministry of Education. The documents should arrive before the closing date (28th July 2019):
- Birth Certificate;
- Identity Card / Passport (if any); and
- Final Examination Result Slips for the last two years (Standards 7 and 8 final examinations)
- A STAR Youth Scholarship / < Indicate online application number for online applicants>
