State Council of Education & Research Training (SCERT), Pune

SCERT is the apex institute of the state to provide academic support and improve quality of Primary Education. It was established in 1964-65 as a State Institute of Education (SIE). It was upgraded as renamed as Maharashtra State Council of Educational Research and Training in 1984. For quality improvement of School Education, MSCERT carries the responsibility of teacher education, research and evaluation.
