Department Of Medical Education

The Medical Education Unit was established in 1997 (11-09-1997). Inaugurated by Dr. S. Kantha, the then Vice Chancellor, RGUHS, Bangalore. Dr. N. Shantharam was incharge of MEU. Later Dr. S.R. Prasad was the Co-ordinator up to 16-01-2008. Then Dr. R. Rupnarayan was the Convenor from 17-01-2008 to 15-01-2009. Dr. Sarala. N was the Convenor from 16-01-2009 to 31-05-2014. She is the director of University Department of Medical Education from 01-06-2014 till date.

To Train all the Medical teachers to use the principles, tools and techniques of teaching and training efficiently and effectively.

To co-ordinate the Academic and Research activities effectively in the Institute.

Research & Development / Topic

“Research Methodology” workshop was conducted on 13th March 2014. Resource persons are Dr. Mukund Gajendragad and Dr KP Suresh from National Institute of Veterinary Epidemiology and Disease Informatics, Bangalore and Dr.
SR Prasad, Director of PG Studies. They discussed about formulation of Research project and Biostatistics in research 30 teaching faculty attended the workshop.
