The educational institutions run by the Shivalik Educational Society (regd.), Chandigarh, rank amongst the best in North India. Making a beginning in 1972, the society now has co-educational, English medium institutions at Chandigarh, Mohali, Nawanshahr and Patiala, which have little more than 8000 students including 400 boarders receiving education up to senior Secondary Stage of Education.
