Important Dates
- Last Date of Submission of Application Form at SPGIMS Lucknow: 15th March 2024

Category of Enrolment
Category 1: Candidates who meet the essential qualifications criteria and possess a letter of award for fellowship and contingency from any Government funding agency for a minimum period of three years.
Category 2: Candidates who fulfill the essential qualifications as stated above AND are engaged in an extramural project funded by Government/UN agencies as JRF/SRF Research Assistant at SGPGI. Enrollment should occur within one year of the project’s commencement, and the total project duration should be at least 3 years. However, they will not be eligible for any fellowship or contingency from the Institute at any time.
Category 3: Candidates holding a Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) directly from Government funding agencies and have applied through SGPGI for research work to be conducted at SGPGI. Admission will be considered within one year of the SRF sanction by the funding agency.
Eligibility Criteria
- The candidates eligible for admission include those with postgraduate qualifications such as MBBS, BDS, MD, MS, MDS, DM, MCh, MSc in Nutrition, MSc in Statistics, MVSc, MSW, MBA, and allied subjects, or a Diploma from the National Board of Examination recognized by the Medical Council of India or similar equivalent bodies.
- Additionally, candidates with a Master’s degree in Science, MTech (Biotechnology) from a recognized University/Institution in Science subject, Health Sciences, Allied Sciences, Related Physical or Engineering Sciences, Master in Hospital Administration, or MBA in Hospital Administration are also eligible.
- For qualification, candidates must have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or its equivalent overall Grade Point Average/Cumulative Grade Point Average in MBBS (for medical graduates) OR MSc/MTech/MSW/MBA/MHA as applicable.
Application Process
Eligible candidates can apply through the Institute’s website http://www.sgpgi.ac.in. Interested candidates may apply with a curriculum vitae along with the Xerox copies of all documents (self-attested) latest by 15.03.2024, to the Office of the Faculty I/C Research, Room No. – 209, Research Cell, First Floor, ADM. Block, SGPGIMS, Raebareli Road, Lucknow-226014 through Speed post. Eligible candidates will be informed by Email/Speed post for Institute Interview Board. The interview is expected to be conducted in the month of March 2024.
