Nobel laureate Amartya Sen has been a worried man. He views the quality of Indian education system as very low. Amartya Sen was in Bolpur to address a seminar on "Innovation in Teaching" organized by Pratichi Trust at Geetanjali Cultural Complex

India has been slipping behind smaller countries like Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan. He also informed that China has been very aggressive in promoting quality education in their country whereas the standard of education has been on constant fall in India.
