RSTMH Small Grants Program

Scholarship

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) invites applications for RSTMH Small Grants Program  which aims to enable early career researchers and global health professionals in the field of tropical medicine or global health to undertake clinical or scientific research or fieldwork as stand-alone projects or distinct elements within a larger project. The selected candidate is awarded a grant worth GBP 5000.

Important Dates

The deadline for submissions (including references) is Monday 15 April at midnight GMT. 

Eligibility

  • Be early career researchers or global health professionals from anywhere across the globe
  • Have a clear research plan
  • Ideally, be affiliated to an organisation or employed (though others will be considered too)
  • Demonstrate limited alternative sources of funding
  • Have adequate supervision
  • Have the appropriate insurance to carry out the research
  • Hold a registered bank account
  • Be an RSTMH member (non-members can also apply but they must join RSTMH upon selection)
  • Not be an RSTMH small grant recipient in the last two years
  • Submit only one application

How to Apply

Step 1: Visit the web page here and register an account to apply for the grant.
Step 2: Login to the account and fill the online application form.
Step 3: Provide information on personal details, project and address details, etc.
Step 4: Provide information on referees, work experience and upload required documents.
Step 5: Submit the application form.

Last Date

The last date for application is Monday 15 April at midnight GMT.
