Eligibility

For Fellowships in Science, students in the first, second or third year of their graduation courses in Science,Veterinary Science, Medicine and Pharmacy are eligible to apply for the scholarships. Students in either the 1st or 2nd year of their post graduation courses are also eligible.

For Fellowships in Engineering, students in the 2nd and 3rd year of their B.E or B.Tech courses are eligible to apply for the fellowships. Successful candidates are allowed to work on a research project supervised by faculties selected by the JNCASR. These candidates will work from the Indian Institute of Science,Bangalore or JNCASR or other institutes of repute, on the research projects between April and July .A total of about 100 Fellowships are awarded, out of which 15 best students are named as Rajiv Gandhi Science Talent Research Fellows. The evaluation is done on the basis of the project reports.

How to Apply

In the prescribed Performa, candidates must apply for the above mentioned Fellowship on plain paper with one recent passport size photograph. All the requisite documents should be attested and furnished along with the application form before the last date.
