The Department of Minority Welfare in Kerala is pleased to announce the commencement of the Mother Teresa Scholarship (MTS) targeted at students belonging to minority communities. This includes individuals from the Muslim, Sikh, Jain, Parsi, and Christian communities who are pursuing studies in Nursing, Diploma/Paramedical courses. The primary objective of this initiative is to foster an educational ecosystem within minority communities.

Mother Teresa Scholarship

The scholarship award under MTS amounts to Rs. 15,000. Scholarships will be distributed amongst Muslim students and those from other minority groups in an 80:20 ratio. Of the total scholarships available, 50% will be specifically reserved for female applicants.

Important Dates

  • Online applications will be accepted from 10th October 2023.
  • The deadline for online applications, after verification and approval, is set for 10th November 2023.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered eligible for the Mother Teresa Scholarship 2023, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Belong to the Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi, or Jain community.
  • Demonstrate a family annual income that does not exceed 8 Lakhs.
  • Be a native of Kerala.
  • Secure admission in a merit-based seat.

Applicant should click on the link, ‘Scholarship’ and then, ‘Mother Theresa Scholarship (MTS) at the website and click on the ‘Apply Online’ link.

Those who have already applied for any scholarship at this link earlier may go to the Candidate login link, After applying online, the applicant should log in using the User and password obtained and the Photo, signature, and Certificates uploaded

Applicant should view the filled application and take the printout of the same

The printout, with the documents specified, should be submitted to the Head of the Institution
