Backward Classes Development Department (BCDD), Government of Kerala (Trivandrum), has invited applications from students of Other Backward Classes (OBC), for the OBC Pre-Matric Scholarships
Important Dates
Eligibility
- Applicant should be belonging to other Backward Communities and studying in one of Class 1 to 10 in Govt. /Government Aided Schools in Kerala.
- Maximum of 2 applicants from a family may apply irrespective of the scholarships being received by family members.
How to Apply
- Filled application form in the prescribed format has to be submitted to the Head of the Institution. The Format of the application form is available at www.bcdd.kerala.gov.in and www.scholarship.itschool.gov.in
- Application forms are also available in all the educational institutions. Photocopy of the application form can also be used
- Community Certificate has to be submitted by those who have not produced the community Certificate at the time of admission, those who have converted their community after admission, and by those from whom community certificate is demanded by the head of the institution
- The declaration of annual income has to be given in the format attached to the Application form and should contain the signature of the parent. Stamped paper is not required. Salary certificate also has to be submitted in case the parents are Government employees
- The Bank account of the applicant has to be recorded in the application form. Copy of the page of the bank pass book, having the details of the bank account has to be attached to the application form
- Filled up applications are to be submitted to the Head of the Institution
- The Scholarship scheme is being implemented in the state with 50% financial assistance from the Central Government
