Scholarship Details
Excellence is central to the ethos of the University. It is merit which determines admission and scholarship achievable with it. IIU offers scholarships to students based on their performance in a test before admission and its continuation depends on annual academic performance. Also available are scholarships for girl students to promote women’s education. The norms are:
=> Overall topper of the University in the year -100% (Chancellor’s Scholarship)
=> Students securing good marks in Scholarship tests: Up to 40% of tuition fee as scholarship
=> Girl students of Himachal Pradesh : Up to 40% of tuition fee as scholarship
=> Children of Employees of the university: Up to 50% of tuition fee as scholarship
Minimum scholarship for all programmes:
10% on Government approved fee for boys.
20% on Government approved fee for girls.
In addition all students are eligible for:
10% on annual tution fee (subject to a maximum of Rs. 5000/- per anum) scholarship for those
obtaining 75% or above marks in the eligibility examination, in aggregate at the time of admission.
10% on annual tution fee (subject to a maximum of Rs. 5000/- per anum) scholarship for those whose sibling is atudying in IIU.
William Neelankavil Scholarship:
Full fee waiver for the student scoring highest percentage marks among those admitted and whose
parental income is less than Rs 2 lakhs per year.
Performance Based Scholarship:
10% on annual tution fee(subject to a maximum of Rs. 5000/- per anum) for those who score 85% and above in any semester examination, for the next semester. They should also have attended 90% or more classes.

Further all students will be eligible for Early Admission Student Incentive (EASI*) on the net-fee-payable after all eligible scholarships as follows:
a) 5% EASI for all full payment on or before 21st
b) 2.5% EASI for all full payment on or before 21st July for UG and PG programmes.
Similar payment concession will also be available on subsequent semester payable fee for early payment on or before the respective schedule dates.
