Scholarship Details
The University offers up to 100% scholarship for the students belonging to SC/ST categories under the Government scheme.
Note : The above scholarships are as per Govt. policy and may change from time to time.The validity,eligibility and last dates shall be as prescribed.
Eligibility
Post Matric Scholarship to SC /ST students (Centrally sponsored scheme)
- Belongs to SC/ST category
- Resident Certificates.
- Family income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2,50,000/- p.a.
- Aadhar linked bank a/c of the student
- Last qualifying certificates
Post Matric Scholarship to BC/OBC students (Centrally sponsored scheme)
- Belongs to BC/OBC category
- Resident Cerficates.
- Family income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 1,00,000/- p.a.
- Aadhar linked bank a/c of the student
- Last qualifying certificates
Merit-Cum-Means and Post Matric scholarships for Minorities
1.For class XI to Ph.D
- Belongs to Sikh,Muslim,Chiristians, Buddhist and parsis category .
- Family income for Merit cum Means scholarship (MCM) from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2,50,000/- Per annum and for Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) Family income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2,00,000/- Per annum
- Should score 50% marks in previous final examination.
Special grant for SC girl studets who are studying in Post Matric and Post gradute class.
- Belongs to SC category of Punjab .
- Should be resident of Punjab.
- Family income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 60,965/- Per annum.
Scholarship scheme to D-Notified tribes
- Belongs to D-Notified Tribes category of Punjab .
- Should be resident of Punjab.
- Family income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 50,000/- Per annum.
Special scholarship scheme for students belonging to Jammu and Kashmir (2 students per institute)
- Students belongs to State of Jammu and Kashmir.
- Pursuing general degree course, Engineering and medical studies.
- Pursuing the course in institution located outside the state of J&K.
- Who has passed the class XII or equivalent exam from the J&K Board or CBSE.
- Income ceiling will be below Rs 6,00,000/-per annum.
Post Graduate (GATE/GPAT) Scholarship
- Should have valid Gate Score in M.E/M.Tech programme.
- Should have completed Final year graduation.
Scholarships scheme for students with Disabilities (Trust Fund)
- Family Income not exceeding Rs.3,00,000 per annum.
- Scholarship holder under this scheme will not avail any oher scholarship/stipend for persuing the course.
- Students should have not less than 50% marks at higher secondry /graduation level.
Scholarships scheme for students with Disabilities (National Fund)
- Monthly income of the beneficiary from all sources should not be more than Rs. 15,000/- (Rs.1,80,000 per annum).
- scholarship holder will not concurrently hold any other scholarship/stipend.
Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme for dependent wards/ widows of ex- service man / Ex- Indian coast guard and their widows
- Students should have scored 60% and above in minimum educational qualification i.e 10 +2 /Diploma /Graduation.
- Students who are dependent wards/ widows of ex -service man and ex- coast guard personnel who died in harness/ disable due to causes attributable to militery service /post guard service , irrespective of the rank .
- Dependent wards of ex- service man / ex- coast guard and their widows (below office rank only ).
