'Satara Maratha Vidyaprasarak Samaj' was established on 1st September 1907 by late Shrimant Rudrajiraje Mahadik(Tarale),Rao Bahadur Sambhajirao Duduskar and other workers in the first decade of 20th century under the inspiration of Chh. Shahu Maharaj of Kolhapur and his work of social upliftment.
