Sanchi University for Buddhist-Indic Studies shall be located very close to Sanchi - the world heritage site, famous for the stupa & ancient relics of Lord Buddha. The University has been allocated 100 acres of land, in fact a hillock on the Bhopal-Sanchi highway not far from the tropic of cancer. The picturesque location is surrounded by green fields & forest laden hills.

This University is meant to address the global issues & shall generally cover educationalists, academicians, philosophers, researchers, practitioners from all over the world, but shall primarily focus on Asian countries - the land of genesis & spread of Buddhist-Indic culture. All aspects of Buddhist-Indic Studies from philosophy to culture; from economics to governance shall be addressed in totality. It shall invite knowledge & wisdom from all ten directions; shall realise, redeem, research, refine and refurbish it further to disseminate in all spheres of life and contribute to the efforts in making ‘Mother Earth’ a better place to live in.

Sanchi University shall endeavor to synthesize the ancient systems with the current needs; re-establish the knowledge catering to present day issues. We expect to revive the old glory of Nalanda, Taxila, Vallabhi, Vikramshila& move forward in current paradigm adding value to all aspects of knowledge, practice & wisdom for the benefit of everyone.

In tune with the need of universal education to create a just and tolerant society, several scholarships and financial aid programmes are being planned. The aim is: no eligible student should be deprived from learning just because of economic reasons.

Library

In order to attain the set objectives and adhering with the mission of the University, a library of Buddhist-Indic knowledge and culture is already established with an initial collection of more than 5000 books which will be increasing in a strategic manner. It has its focus on providing a conducing environment that enables learning and advancement of knowledge so as to promote a discovery beyond class-room learning and augment scholarship. The library aims to facilitate the quality and value added services to its users. Since the library is at nascent stage so it is in process of subscribing wide range of National & International Journals and Magazines. Books of common interest and dictionaries of specific disciplines are also made available for instant reference. The library also has facility of searching books and journals through internet. At present, the Library has one reading hall having Textbook section and Reference section besides a reading space for newspapers.

Sports

Sports facilities are available in the campus. Annual Sports event is held in the month of December in every year

Transportation

Good transportation facilities for its students, staff members and visiting guests.

Hostels

The University has separate hostels for boys and girls with well furnished amenities. The facilities and infrastructure which make students feel comfortable and offer them a homely ambience, being away from hustle and bustle of city life as the hostels are located in a serene and calm atmosphere which is conducive for study and research. Every student is provided facilities include Mess, Water dispensers, Recreation Room, Indoor games, fully fledged Branch of State Bank of India, Parking, Round the clock Security, Sports ground, and Wi-Fi enabled Net connectivity. On prior request, special lodging arrangements can also be made available for the research students. Mess facility will be available on payment basis. Admission to the hostels is subject to admission to the University and availability of accommodation. Ragging is strictly prohibited in the campus. In the University, emphasis has been laid on hygiene and cleanliness for healthy living.

University Guest House

Guest house of University Campus has 20 well furnished rooms with attached bathrooms having geyser facility. Each room has double occupancy with DTH facility. Rooms of the guest house are allotted to the VIP persons visiting the University. It is surrounded by trees and on its left is the mess, situated 100 meters away. On the right of the guest house are the residential blocks which are 200 meters away from the guest house facility. On the back of the guest house is the farm land, on its front is the nursery of the University. Guest house, mess, administrative block, library each has RO water for drinking purpose with hot and cold water dispensers placed at every facility.

Exhibition Area

SUBIS campus will have an area exclusively dedicated to exhibition. We intend to work for the safeguard of ancient knowledge and trends which have sustained peace and well being for long in human lives and are our living heritage. Based on beautiful Buddhist & indigenous architecture in our over 100 acres of campus, this area will enlighten the spirits and will be a live demonstration of how rich our culture and knowledge trends are.

Garden & Forest

Given the natural endowment of Sanchi University, majority of seasonal fruits and vegetables will be supplied by the ‘kitchen’ garden located on campus. This garden will be developed and maintained by the learners under expert guidance of organic farmers and horticulturists.
The University forest will be hosting local flora and fauna in its full natural glory. Large trees with dense shadows (Khirni, Peepal,Mango, Neem, Sal, etc.) along with small fruit bearing trees and shrubs will be systematically cultivated to maintain ecological balance of the area and improve micro-climate.
