Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata invites applications for admissions to Ph.D. Programs for the academic year 2016 - 17.

Ph.D. Programs is conducted by Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata.

Courses Offered:

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program in Experimental Physics
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program in Biophysical Sciences

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:
=> Candidates with NET-JRF (not Lectureship) qualification only are eligible for Ph.D program.

Ph.D in Experimental Physics:
=> Candidate should have masters’ degree in Physics.

Ph.D in Biophysical Sciences:
=> Candidate should have masters’ degree in Physics or Chemistry with Life Sciences at 10+2 level or masters’ degree in Life Sciences with Chemistry and Mathematics at 10+2 level.

Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics founded as the Institute of Nuclear Physics by Prof. Meghnad Saha, is one of the Pioneering Research Institute of India in fundamental Physics and allied disciplines. The institute has been pursuing a successful teaching and research-training programme since its formation in the early fifties. It offers a one-year Post- M. Sc course in Physics with specialisation in Condensed Matter Physics, High Energy Physics, Nuclear Physics and Plasma Physics.
