Rourkela Educational Development Society (REDS), The college owes its origin to the patronage of the then ADM, Rourkela, Mr. A. J. Alex, I.A.S and the then Executive Officer, NAC(CT) Mr. Pitambar Mohanty, O.A.S(I) among others. Thanks to the keen interest taken by Mr. Aurobindo Behera, I.A.S, the then ADM, Rourkela- the college was shifted from the Municipal Hall to the present spacious building in 1984.
