The Pacific University has come into existence by virtue of an special Act of Rajasthan State Assembly sponsored by the Pacific Academy of Higher Education & Research Society striving to bring this small town on the national educational map. With the humble beginning in the 1997 by the establishment of Pacific Institute of Management & Pacific Commerce College, the society continues to map rapid strives in the field of higher & technical education and almost one and half dozen institutes have been established in last 12 years in diverse fields like Dental Science, Management, Pharmacy, Engineering Education, Hotel Management etc.
The group today has a composite strength of 5000 students, 300 faculty members and 200 non teaching staff strength. The campus is spread in an area of 100 acres with beautiful landscape, lust green campus and sprawling playground. Most of the department in the constituent colleges in the university excel out in their category and hold the front rank in the country. The Pacific Dental College has the reputation of being No. 1 in the country by virtue of its highest turn out in the OPD and maximum practical exposure to its students. The Pacific group has best placements average in the North India by virtue of excellent employability of its management faculty students. The University has also pioneered to start a variety of new programmes leading to high profile career in the highest rated profession. To maintain some of these the University has launched programmes in Actuarial Science, Insurance management, Financial Mathematics & Behavioral Finance hitherto unavailable in the country.
Another such program is integrated BBM-MBA and B.Com-MBA customized with CA & CS programme. The University is first to launch Bachelor of Fine Arts program in the state of Rajasthan.
