Odisha PG Medical Admission 2016 through AIPGMEE

Odisha PG Medical Admission 2016 through AIPGMEE has been announced. Consequent upon the decision of Govt. to take candidates from the merit list of AIPGMEE-16 for admission to MD/MS courses in the State Quota seats in the academic session 2016-17, the following guidelines are framed for counselling and admission of candidates against 50% state quota seats in different Govt. Medical Colleges of the state and HITECH Medical College, Bhubaneswar

Duration of the Course

=> The Post Graduate (Medical) Courses usually are of 3 years duration from the date of commencement of the course i.e. 02nd May 2016 subject to joining of the candidate in the course

=> Candidates having recognized PG Diploma shall be exempted one year from the total duration of PG (Medical) Course provided they undergo PG (Medical) Course in the same subject

=> Courses of study and the registration of candidates for Post-graduate study at the respective colleges in the subjects concerned will be regulated by the University to which the Medical College is affiliated

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

=> Candidate must have passed MBBS from any MCI recognised institution and must have the following criteria:

=> A candidate must be a permanent resident of Odisha (or);

=> A candidate of outside state but passed MBBS from any Govt Medical College of Odisha, who was admitted under 15 % All India Quota seats (or); Son/daughter/ spouse of a person who has served in Defence Service in the state of Odisha for minimum of 5 years by 31st March 2016

=> Candidates must have qualified in AIPGMEE 2016 securing the qualifying marks as prescribed by MCI (50% for UR, 45% for UR-PH and 40% for SC/ST)

=> Candidates must have completed one year of Compulsory Rotatory Internship/Houseman ship by 31st March 2016

=> Candidates who have completed or undergoing PG (Medical) Course in any subject or have taken admission in PG (Medical) Course in any of the three

=> Govt Medical Colleges of Odisha (or); HITECH Medical College, Pandara, Bhubaneswar, but have not joined/discontinued after joining after last date of admission, during last 3 years, shall not be eligible to participate for PG Medical Counselling

Fee Details:

Counseling fee of Rs.1500/-
Candidate selected for admission in Govt. Medical Colleges, shall have to deposit the following fees
Admission Fees (one time) Rs.2000/-; Consolidated Tuition Fees Rs.25,000/-; Library Fees (per annum) Rs.600/-; Journal Fees (per annum) Rs.1000/-; Fees for issue of Identity card (one time) Rs.100/-; College Security Deposit (one time & refundable) Rs.10,000/-; PG Students’ Union fees (one time) Rs.600/-; Students’ Dramatic Society Fees Rs.300/-; Students’ Academic Society fees (one time) Rs.300/-; total fee Rs.40,000/-

Important Dates:

• Online registration starts: 29th February 2016
• Last Date of Submission of Application Form: 08th March 2016 (05.00 pm)
• Verification of Original Documents: 14th March to 17th March 2016 (Direct) and 18th March to 19th March 2016 (in-Service)
• Medical Board for PH Candidates: 21st March 2016 (10.00 am to 01.00 pm)
