National Institute of Design (NID), Vijayawada invites applications for admissions to Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD) for the academic year 2015 - 16.

Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD) Admission is conducted by National Institute of Design (NID), Vijayawada.

Courses Offered:

Full time Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD):
=> Industrial Design
=> Communication Design
=> Textile &Apparel Design

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

=> Upper age limit for candidates is 20 years of age (relaxable by three years for reserved category) on or before July 1, 2016.

=> Candidates born on or before July 1, 1996, are not eligible.

=> Reserved Category applicants (OBC-NCL, SC, ST & PH): Candidates born on or before July 1, 1993, are not eligible

=> Applicants who have passed or will appear for the qualifying examinations under the higher secondary (10+2) from any recognized Board of Education such as AISSCE/ IB/ ICSE, or equivalents, during the academic year 2015-16.

Fee Details:

Application Fees for General Category: Rs.1500/-, OBC-NCL / SC / ST / PwD Rs.750/- and Overseas (supernumerary): US $ 30.

GDPD Important dates section aims to list all important dates such as date of availability of form, last submission date, result date, counselling date, etc.

• Last Date of Submission of Application Form: 27th November, 2015
• Design Aptitude Test (DAT): 10th January, 2016

Selection Process:

=> Admission is on the basis of NID’s method of selection, which extends beyond the students previous academic qualifications.

=> Common Design Aptitude Test (DAT) for NID Vijayawada and NID Ahmedabad shall be conducted and short listed candidates who have opted for the Vijayawada campus shall be called for next level of Studio Test, Interviews, etc by a separate communication.
